In Proverbs, the book of wisdom, it says "A joyful heart is good medicine." Joyful means rejoicing and being glad. The heart is talking about our inner man, not an outward artificial smile. And the word medicine is define as a cure or healing. So how in the world do we get a joyful heart? I believe it comes from a diliberate act of giving thanks. That means you purposely set your heart and mind on all the things that are in your life that sustains you and makes you smile. Everyone has something to be thanksful for, you just might not see it because of your focus. Take your eyes away from all the circumstances, make a list of all the things you are thankful for and read them out loud as often as possible and you will find some good medicine that will heal your life. Here is my list:

Sharing and praying with trustworthy friends: Jenifer, David, Diane, Pete, Tawyna, Bill, Therese, Beth, Pam, Mark, Dana, Tom, Kate, Cindy, Jessie, Kathy, Jim, Lisa, Jody, Bethany, David, Dana....
Creations that proclaims the glory of God; Children dancing, Elderly person praying, lovers embracing, the summer breeze, ice on the trees, sunsets, mountains, babbling brooks, seasonal changes, snowflakes, squirrels playing, birds singing,......
Daily Provisions: a fresh tomato, crisp cucumber, juicy watermelon, hot crusty bread, warm bed, soft pillow, roof over my head, health, home business, transportation, free country, houses of worship......
