 FASCINATED

There is a craving in every human spirit to be fascinated and to marvel. We long to be awestruck and filled with endless wonder.  That longing drives us to every sort of activity that will bring about satisfaction.  The only problem is that most of what we find is temporal and fleeting.  I went to see Old Faithful in Yellowstone Park a couple years ago and we stood in the hot sun before this geiser for aleast a hour.  The place was so crowded with eager people holding their cameras waiting and waiting.  It finally shot of it's hot spray and in union we all wowed took our shots and it was over in minutes.  I left thinking, is that all there is, so everybody got in their cars and headed out to the next site.  Why do we run to and fro  looking for some new, different and exciting?  It's because of our Divine design, we need a sense of wonderment, it's in the core of our being.  This was put in us so we could be fascinated by our Maker.  Many times we run to everything else except the very One who will satisfy our longings.  God is not boring, He longs to show Himself in beauty and splendor infact beyond our imagination.

Great entry. Even though I merely believe without putting my belief into action, I know God is NOT boring.

(Random thought: I noticed while reading this, the fetus pic moved slightly; possibly because of the color contrast in it....just something I noticed...)

But, anyway...I liked this entry....yet, if you lead or have led a hard, crumb-eating, bad-luck-chuck-because-it-won't-let-up sort of life (like myself), then my mind immediately goes to the point of saying; Fine, God isn't boring; but why search for excitement in God when you've never received a sense of security or ease in Him?

....It's like riding down the slope of the greatest roller coaster without being strapped in your seat....

I haven't walk in your shoes so maybe this won't mean much. We need to surrender everything to Him, that's where faith comes in. If others have wronged you, ask the Lord to help you to forgive them. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths. That ride without a seatbelt, could catapult right into the arms of God.
