So I was working overtime on Saturday. Yes I was working, getting up and down and checking my machines were working, filling the part bowls. But inbetween that, I was totally bored, I was the only one there for the last four hours, nothing to ocupy my time but myself and I am pretty boring to talk to - i know all my stories already! So I had this line stuck in my head, I was working on ideas for my altered book I had started the day before and this line would not go away. Well I took out my notebook and wrote it down, and then I started to write a poem around it. Well, no poem emerged, but a song. I have never done this before but it just came out. Like " suprise here I am! " So here it is for you too look at.
I have wanted to say this for a while,
But there are always people near
When you looked into my eyes today
I knew you felt the smile
I need to the feeling I had when your eyes met
When we shared our common pain
I want to feel that way again
Don’t you feel the same?
I want to look into your eyes for all eternity
I want the feeling back again
Like it’s just you and me
Forget about the others here
Just look into my eyes again
And their words I’ll never hear
Dancing with my baby
Arms wrapped round him tight
I pretend he is you
When we turn out the light
He has no earthly idea
That when I look deep into his eyes
I see nothing but the lie I’ve made
And the price we both have paid.
I want to look into your eyes for all eternity
I want the feeling back again
Like it’s just you and me
Forget about the others here
Just look into my eyes again
And their words I’ll never hear
What makes me so insane,
Is that I know how this will end
An extra dose of pain
And a heart I cannot mend
Just look into my eyes again
Let me feel so alive again
So I can carefully store it safely away
And take it out some other day
I want to look into your eyes for all eternity
