All in above,I showed the cultural environment of our city.Political life of my city is also glorious.My city was always politically active.Either in Mughal period or in British period always ruler supported local government so the development.Local representatives of the Mughal emperors did not harassed the local residents.Therefore,local peoples were satiesfird in himself.During British period Sasaram was a business center.Not only food grains industry but other mineral industry were also in developed conditions.In 1869 AD, the British government built a big dam on sone river,called as Annicut.This dam changed the future of our city.At that time our city was only a sub-divisional head quarter and Arrah town was district head quarter of Shahabad district.But Sasaram became the economic headquarter of the Shahabad District.Plenty of minerals are found in my district.English economic policy encouraged the economic society.Many lime kiln were opened.The lime mines were in remote hilly regions. The government built new small gauge railway lines and connected these mines with Sasaram .During British period Sasaram was covered with net of railway lines.In about 1900 AD.many thousands people were work in these mines.In near 1930 Dalmia Nagar was established as a big Industrial city of India.Cement, Soap,Paper,Jute,Dalda,Asbestus,Power,etc. were produced under one brand name.This way, the economic condition of the society was good.But many peoples were against the British rule.In 1857 revolt many peoples of all classes took active part.Many landlords revolted and took shelter in the hills.British government brutally depressed these land lords.Some of them were hanged.Nishan singh was one of them.He was killed by exploding by canon.Local peoples supported them.In the Congress movement,manytimes Gandhi ji visited Sasaram
