Sasaram city covers nearly 20 sq.km.area.It is 5 km. In length(East-West) and 4 km.wide(North-South).G.T.Road and Grand-chord Railway Line divided it in two parts.It’s population is near about 2 lahs.In last 30 years it’s population became doubled and area also doubled.But the expansion is not a planned expansion.Although it is a very old city with narrow lanes and by-lanes,new mohalllas are not with well lanes and by-lanes.New mohallas also look like old .There are nearly 100 mohallas in my city.All these mohallas are same in nature.In Eastern part Nooran ganj,New area, Khilan ganj,Pratap ganj,Shobha ganj,Rameshwar ganj and Sagar Mohallas are famous.In these mohallas there are many sub mohallas.For example in Nooran ganj there are Bhola shaheed,Dusadh tola,Dih,Durga mandir etc.sub mohallas.This is same in other mohallas.All these are old mohallas but new constructions are going on in these mohallas.These new constructions are not according to government rule and regulations.Therefore,thses new constructins have created many problems.All the old drainage systems are blocked and there is not a single outlet in good condition.Therefore, all the city area is waterlogged.Even in summer water flow on the Road.All the new buildings have good approach path.Thousand of buildings have no any approach paths.Even a ricksaw can not reach to these buildings.
