Hate Crime Against Mom of Man Killed

If you saw my previous blogs on the Rockford police killing a man in a church day care, then you're apprised of the story and event. In summary, two White Rockford cops shot Mark Anthony Barmore multiple times in a church day care center in the presence of staff and children. Barmore was Black. Barmore was unarmed. The police chased him into the church daycare on an allegation of domestic violence. Barmore ran into a boiler room not presenting any threat to those who were present in the church day care.

Rev. Jesse Jackson came to the city of Rockford and encouraged its citizens to remain peaceful.

And then this ....

Sunday morning, Mary Ann Barmore woke up to find swastikas and crude language painted on her car and the rear view mirror smashed.

"I don't want to believe that people can be that cruel, I don't want to believe that this world is that cruel, especially by it being 2009," says Mary Ann Barmore.

But it is Rockford, IL, where retribution, fear, and crimes against individuals seeking justice have kept many individuals quiet.

Barmore's mother said that a stranger recently called to tell the family to check the online classifieds site, Craigslist. There they found a listing for Mark Anthony Barmore. It shows his criminal record and says he's one "dead thug" in hell.

Arrest records in Winnebago County are public record.

So, in response to the people who think that all "thugs" are Black, here is the arrest record for a White woman who has been in the local news.

This is interesting because the defendant alleged domestic abuse after she was charged, first against her husband, and the second time against the father of a child she birthed after she was charged with the following offenses. The court denied her requests for orders of protection. It is interesting because when the police saw Mark A. Barmore in the church parking lot, they were looking for him for questioning of an alleged domestic violence complaint.

Mindy S. Bailey (Allegedly ran over her husband's girlfriend with her car, damaged the husband's girlfriend's vehicle, and attempted to also run over her husband.)

Man, what is going on here! It seems like everyone wants to judge everyone else? Who can say he is a dead thug in hell? What if the person that made this comment was to be in hell themself?

It shows how most whites still attempt to put the fear in blacks by doing hate. It is similar to my blog about Black Butterfly part one and two:

Lynching, beatings
It almost passes human understanding how a people can be so socially despised and yet artistically esteemed, so degraded and yet so culturally influential, so ostracized and yet a dominate editorial force in American Life.

briancrump, I "hear" ya. Because of where I'm employed, I simply do not see how the City of Rockford can stereotype minorities since many more Whites have criminal backgrounds. The truth is that no matter the criminal background, our justice system says that people are entitled to a trial. The police who shot Mark did not give him that constitutional provision. And now some members of Rockford society want to justify that violation. That is what is so sad about the harasser who commented about Mark being in hell. When I read the Bible, I don't read about there being a sin scale. That harasser better hope that he/she hasn't stolen a penny, or ever told a lie.

Goes to show that America is not a country written in morals. If one would actually know, everyone in America are immigrants, rather forced or otherwise. Now, I know how the Native Americans, whom had this country first, feel.

HA! There was a Christian woman who I thought of as a good friend. We were talking one day about prejudices and racial bigotry and I brought up how Native American lives, land and culture were stolen and destroyed. Her response? She said that God allowed it because Native Americans were pagans who rejected the gospel.

When I read the gospels, I don't read where Jesus destroyed anyone for believing differently. Even in the epistles, the only one we read about destroying people for their beliefs were the Pharisees. It took the blinding of Paul, his healing, and the revealing of Christ in him for his opinion and actions to change. Afterwards, he neither destroyed anyone for having a different belief.
