A green piece of paper everyone chases
Just to be happy and go pretty places
Buying cloths, shoes and shiny rings
theres more to life than material things.
When people talk I wonder if they are even there
I wonder if they have a heart and really care.
Someones crying and looking to the sky
praying to this god and asking why.
They say the best things in life come after the hardest times
When you're so broke the people who say they care wouldn't throw you a dime.
They see you needing someone to turn to
so they act, talk, and smile at you.
I'll help and it'll be okay-
yeah sure, i'll believe that, but not today.
It would be nice to not worry about putting gas in my car...
because then I could just jump right in and drive away very far.
The people who have the money don't care about you
Most but not all, put on an act and really are not true.
I thought there was one person who was really going to help me out
because I really thought he was a nice person, without a doubt.
I have been waiting too long and now Months later I am thinking twice
Maybe this person is not so nice..
This is not new to me or to you
Most people think they can walk all over you.
I have been so nice to every single person I know
But times precious and I think it's time to go
I have places to be and I am eager to grow.
So sick of being walked all over and treated like I am not here.
But I am not going to let the negative get the best of me, I won't waste another tear.
Follow your dreams and hang on tight
If you believe it will happen, it will when the time is right.
