by now i am sure everyone knows how much i hate working, right? well, i just have to complain a minute about my job so that i can do what i have to do.
first of all...i have way too much to do. i write coverage policy for a pretty big health insurer and i also follow new and emerging medical technologies. i like these parts of my job. i get paid to write and study health technology and that's pretty cool. but, here's the thing....i have 3 big coverage policies that i have to have completed by january. sounds like a lot of time to do it, but there's alot of research that goes into writing policy. and these three that are due in january are about genetic testing which, hell, i don't know anything about! genetic testing is difficult to understand even for clinicians. well, so b/c i am writing these very difficult and time consuming policies i was given a reprieve on writing the usual once a month ones that i have to write. but that didn't last long and i ended up having to write two which are due the end of november. and the doctor i am working with on these is a nit-picky sort so i have to rewrite a good portion of it. now, in addition to these projects, i have to do my main responsibilty which is pipeline research of new and emerging technologies. i run a committee that determines strategy around these new technologies and ugh...that is a lot of work in itself. so...i guess i am whining and i should be working instead of whining, but i am just pissed that they have put all this on me.
i am the new girl so i can't say much, but it just irks me.
ok, whining over. (not really, but you don't have to listen to it anymore). :)
