No, not love, you can be infatuated with someone, very interested, lust after them, but love takes familiarity, and that takes time.

Yes. No reason, just yes. There is always something higher than reasoning when it comes to love IMO.

No. Same reason as circe. At the first sight basically is sexual attraction. Real love developed later....

I think it is possible. As, Aph' and me both know:P It happenned with Eros/Cupid. But, when you say it is simply sexual attraction...how do you explain those that are not exactly "pretty" or "handsome" people with whom we are attracted to at first sight? I can see someone and admit they are "not my type" and yet feel a certain vibe(possibly astrology related). Perhaps we can sense compatibility at first sight or close contact. But, technically, I would tend to agree that it is difficult to know that it is love and not infatuation.

Infatuation can become love.. I think that happens a lot. My husband said he loved me the first time he saw me. But he is a hopeless romantic.

I don't believe in love at first sight. It is just overrated rubbish I presume. Yes, infatuation is the word or rather 'crush at first sight'.

I don't believe there is love at first sight. Love is something that develops as you get closer to someone. You can have a crush at first sight as Aphrodite says, but not love. Love runs deeper than just looks and if you truly mean love at first sight then there is no way you can love someone after just looking at them.

I agree with Circe. Love can stem from the lust, the infatuation, the chemical attraction. It's no reason not to believe in it, but it is more like at second sight...
