What is a Christian? I have always thought it was someone who dedicated their life to Jesus Christ and followed his teachings. But I was reading something in the Christian sub forum and a few people said that a Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus. They said nothing about believing he was the son of god who died for your sins though, which was what I always thought.

I have read some things that Jesus has supposedly said and I do agree with them, he was very wise. But it is not too different from what I have heard from Buddha and other great wise people. I try my best to live by the words of great wise men and women such as Jesus and Buddha, but I do not believe that Jesus died for my sins or that there even is such a thing as sin.
