 Hypocrisy At Its SARCASTIC Worse.....
We all know sarcasm can come in many forms, as can hypocrisy, and then, there are many people too gullible to recognize either even when it hits them in the face!!!  Our current political Administration is rife with both sarcasm and hypocrisy.

It appears President Obama's health care pitch is losing momentum every time he speaks.

Perhaps people are seeing the hypocrisy in his words and examining how his actions don't follow his rhetoric.

While common sense Americans realize there's absolutely no way to pay for health care for 50 million Americans without adding to the deficit, there are many who believe it can be done. I like to call those people-- "liberals". Now I know that name calling has become as integral to debate as apple pie and Chevrolet has become to American life, and I realize it happens on both sides, so for the sake of going with the latest trend, I'll oblige. From conservatives calling liberals "unpatriotic", to liberals crying "racism" to anyone who dares to oppose "Der Fuhrer" - Obama, no one is exempt from being labeled these days.

I've grown quite accustomed to the term, "flat-earther", "right wing nutbar", and "red neck racist"!!!

What's ironic about the entire genre of discussing politics is the common tactic of ignoring facts which don't suit your agenda, and that's what I try to look for, and find problems with, when debating.

For example, we've all heard that millions of Americans are going bankrupt due to medical bills and the far left uses this as a tool to promote a single payer system. This works, until you look at the facts and see the actual study they're citing is a Harvard study from 2001, which drew many conclusions that don't jive with the data. Part of the criteria for determining if someone filed bankruptcy because of medical bills was if they missed 2 weeks of work that year due to an illness. Its irrelevant if they had $50,000 in credit card debt, if they filed bankruptcy that year and were out of work a couple of weeks because they were sick, people conclude the bankruptcy was because of medical debt.

Another aspect of the study simply asked if they had $1,000 of medical bill debt in the past year, or had a one month gap in health insurance coverage and these characteristics qualified the person to be labeled in the category “Major Medical Bankruptcy”, with absolutely no consideration whatsoever to any other extenuating circumstances. Even if they comfortably paid their medical bills, but had to mortgage their home later that year to support a cocaine addiction, unsecured debt or lost their job, people imply the bankruptcy was "because" of the rising cost of health care. I have no doubt that there were people who filed bankruptcy because of their medical bills, but its important to remember when they start throwing out numbers, exactly what those numbers mean. Using subliminal messages, people can direct and even dictate the course of the conversation by using phrases like, "medical problems contribute to about half of all bankruptcies" to sway opinion. It doesn't matter to what extent it contributes, as long as it fits their agenda. Even if it was only a "dime", it "contributes".

The same type of flashy rhetoric applies to the "man made climate change" people, who say that CO2 emissions are destroying the planet. At first it was incorrectly labeled as "global warming" until the last ten years have shown a cooling trend, so now they must alter their words to accommodate inconsistencies with their stance, and refer to it as "climate change". We all know that CO2 is important, after all, plants need it to breathe, so they have to claim that releasing millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere creates a greenhouse effect, thus creating a world of ice sheets melting, disease vectors advancing, and sea levels rising. They would have some credibility if these catastrophic changes had begun to occur at the rate equivalent to their alarming screams, but they haven't. While the greenhouse effect is important to life, its important to remember that atmospheric gases are made up of mostly water vapor. CO2 makes up less than .03%. So what if mankind doubles its CO2 emissions in the next 30 years and the percentage reflected that scenario in the atmosphere.

Now, all of a sudden .06% of gases are CO2.

Whatever will we do?

The fact of the matter is data keeps surfacing daily to contradict what the fear mongers are telling us regarding global warming, or excuse me, "climate change". Keep in mind these are the same people who ask us why are we so scared that we feel the need to carry a gun in a restaurant or state park, yet the odds of a licensed, permit holder going on a shooting spree, or having an accidental discharge are the equivalent of being struck by lightning--- while being attacked by a shark. They want us to believe we'll be safer in a park with a sign saying "no guns" than with the criminal element targeting those places for their next rape victim or child molestation because they no there are no armed citizens there-- legally speaking, (wink-wink).

While people are starting to see the shell game that the far left is playing, we must be vigilant in pointing out their hypocrisy as well!!!!

Ask the next liberal you see what will happen if we switch to a universal health care system. Most likely, they won't mention the phrases, "waiting for treatment", "massive government debt", or "death panels", but they probably use the words "progress" and "compassion" to describe the care that 50 million Americans, and some illegals, whom will now have access. They neglect to ask themselves how these people are going to get to the doctor. I'm just guessing, but I speculate the vast majority of them will drive there, and more likely do so in a much more repetitive fashion since someone else is paying for it.

Ask the next liberal you see what that added strain will do to the environment when 50 million people increase the CO2 emissions to the point the sea levels rise to swallow NYC, all the polar bears die, palm trees are growing in Canada, and Mount St. Helens erupts. Ask them what their plan is to counteract this additional strain which will be caused by millions of people driving to the doctor, but also the millions of medical supplies that will need to be delivered to meet the demand.

Seriously, do these people not care about the environment?

I suppose another tax hike on the "rich" will be in store, causing them to cut costs by laying people off, increasing prices or cutting their spending, all three of which hurt the economy it was supposed to help. Does anyone else see a pattern here?

At the equivalent of selling "no solicitation" signs, door to door, I must ask people who are getting government entitlements to refuse to accept them any longer.

Yes, I really said that!!!!!  DUH!!!

If its fair for people to attempt to "guilt" me into feeling compassion for people who don't have insurance, then I feel comfortable--nay, obligated to return the favor and make people getting entitlements feel that same guilt.

Why would you even consider accepting a hand out from the government?

I can think of several scenarios off the top of my head where it would be acceptable, yet rarely do these circumstances ever rear their heads. I'm quite sure there will be someone who responds who feels they are in dire straights, and I'm quite sure they are, but its the ones cashing welfare checks who wouldn't dare respond with whom I have the problem. It is that type of greed which makes Bernie Madoff look like a cheap, dime store hood, and gives a bad name to the "entitlement" society. Quit accepting things just because "you qualify" and start basing it on your actual need, or better yet, get an extra job to obtain what it is you desire.

I know the jobs are out there, I keep seeing "help wanted" signs everywhere.

For those of you who have trouble comprehending English, that means these people will pay you money in exchange for your labor. In turn, you can use that money to acquire the things you desire and get this, it also works on things you need, such as housing, food, transportation and utilities. It has even been known to purchase health care insurance which will pay your doctor bills if you ever get sick or injured.

Even when the President claims he won't add to the deficit while insuring 50 million Americans, we're supposed to swallow the claim he will provide the cost for this by eliminating waste from government.

Hmmmm, that's interesting, creating more waste by eliminating waste.....

I guess it all just depends on your definition of waste!!!

The Congressional Budget Office estimates the cost of this plan will exceed a trillion dollars in new debt. Even if you're one of those eternal optimists with a belly full of Obama's kool-aid who thinks he can get there by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse, how can you explain how he will magically make more doctors, nurses and hospitals suddenly appear to meet the demand this new found "free" health care will create when 50 million more people are standing in line? Well at least they'll have "access" to care, whereas before they were "dying in the streets". I know, its hard driving a delivery truck every day, especially when we have to dodge all the dead bodies because we don't give them free health care.

It seems there are very few good men left in the world today, especially in the political arena.

We all hear the sob stories about how someone lost their job, in turn, lost their health care, and then dies because no one will insure them. It wasn't their fault, so shouldn't we feel compassion? I could care less about compassion. People die every day in countries where health care is "free", so how is it compassionate to support such a system, when people have to come here for treatment it would take months to get in a supposedly "progressive" system of coverage? Are they more enlightened than we are? Shouldn't we be concerned about being ranked 37th in the world in terms of health care when we spend the most? It isn't, no and no.

Obviously, I must be a racist, a bigot, and filled with hate to post such a blog.

You've got it all wrong,

it's Obama's white half that I have the problem with, even though ironically, I'm white, at least as far as I know.

As for bigotry, I'll be the first to admit if I'm wrong, so until I see facts which support the other side, I'll continue my animosity, although it defies the traditional concept of bigotry, for I like to inculcate rational thought into every aspect of the debate.

When it comes to hate, I must admit, I am filled with it.

I hate the fact that people can no longer be honest when debating....that they just want to attack, attack, attack till we have strangled on their rhetoric!!!

I hate that there are still those who rely on everyone else to provide for them under the disguise of "socialism".

I hate the fact politicians have managed to run up a $37,000 bill for every man, woman and child in America for the debt they have incurred while in office, yet they have managed to continue unbridled spending, under the disguise of fairness, equality, progress, and/or stimulus.

I want a bridle, to harness these out of control politicians. I propose we make an amendment to the constitution that debt is no longer acceptable. I wish to make it illegal for government to accumulate debt in order to accopmlish their objectives. Debt is what will bury us all and at the risk of sounding politically incorrect, the borrower is slave to the lender. That seems to be the common perception amongst all religions and for those atheists out there, it translates into "you owe me" or "you'll pay".

It all boils down to being resourceful, responsible human beings, each capable of providing for themselves, despite a world of greed mongering , capitalist pigs, out to get us at every turn.

It is our individual responsibility to distinguish the difference between want and need and now,

it appears, it is our collective responsibility as well. Call you local representative today and demand they govern within the guidelines of not accumulating any new debt and paying off existing debt. It doesn't matter whether they are local, state or federal. Who knows, one phone call could make all the difference in the world.

Call them today and demand they stop using debt as a tool and pledge to operate within the existing budget restraints. From your city councilman or councilwoman, county commissioner, local mayor, state representative, state senator, US representative, US senator, Governor, President and lets not forget all the department heads, czars and committee chairpersons leave no one out. There's so many it could be considered overwhelming.

That's why we must never underestimate our power as citizens, let us not forget they work for us. They are our employees and they should do as we say, collectively speaking. Call at least one of them this week to remind the who they work for and who pays their salary. I'd hate for budget restraints to eliminate their health care programs. I'll wager they would too. I doubt that would happen without a referendum, which is possible.

How many votes do you think they'd get?

I absolutely agree with this blog Angel! Hypocricy is the another name for Dems this term...from healthcare, the war in Afghanistan, taxes, "global Warming", racism and those are just for starters!

The revealing part of their hypocricy is they dont use facts...they resort to whats worked in the past for them...labeling. Unfortunately for them...its not working any longer. The American People have finally tired of it and fighting back. High time we stood up for our Country!

Hi Bev!!!! Absolutely great to see you here! It was so funny last night to join some political groups on this site and see you had already been there!!! I loved it!!! I hope we can get a group going and build it here!

There is a way to bridle out of control spending by government. Its called End the Fed, support HR 1207 and SB 603. Buy Ron Paul's new book aptly titled End the Fed in a store near you. Without the ability to just print (read counterfeit) money, politicians are forced to raise taxes in order to "give" their constituents something they desire, which is political suicide.

Instead they print it and the American people are blind to the inflation it creates.

Win win for the politician, lose lose for We the People!!!!

The Fed is the Head of the runaway government snake!!!!

Lop it off and the Congress is then forced to follow the Constitution as they will have no money for their nefarious vote buying programs. It is worth noting that we didn't have an IRS or income tax until 1913 when the Fed (the Private Banking Cartel)was created.

Without the Fed, no income tax.

Talk about economic stimulus, Americans being able to keep a third of what they make and spend it as they see fit.

I bet alot more people could afford health insurance if they didn't have their taxes stolen from them and given to those who won"t work.

I'm just saying!!!

Good post I agree wholeheartedly. You know, in my city, they were actually asking for ways to cut costs a few years back. My small suggestion was to have the city quit trying to do every little thing for the public, thus raising our taxes.

One example was for the city to stop removing everyones' bags of leaves from curbs...rake and bag and dispose of your OWN leaves....they actually implemented it! Don't know how much we saved...but we are big boys and girls, and frankly, most of us need the exercise!

Grow the idea back into the kids moral fiber that Americans can and will start accepting responsibility for themselves.

And AN, I agree dump the Federal Reserve.

Then those 535 jerks we elected would quit spending us into oblivion.

Cities and municipalities need to realize that we all have to survive on a budget and that those budgets needs to get balanced and stay balanced!!! Our State and Federal entities need to live within their means... lop off the corrupted parts and get with the program so America will survive!!! It is no longer a choice....it is an imperative for survival!!

And you are so right, Helen, we all have to become personally accountable in all areas of our lives......good stewarts of our government, our land, our country and our families!!!

Point I was after...grassroots, accountability, responsibility, integrity.

Additionally, the young in our country have not learned much in the last 4 decades. Yet they feel free to spout off, working for an end and a system they don't understand and will ultimately hate. They don't seem to use terms such as "debt", "balanced budget", "fiscal responsibility", and "earn".

Instead they are all about "deserve", "want", "entitlement", and "take".

They need to listen and THINK. I know the educational system here has been sorely lacking for the last 40 years. But the school system only retarded their growth potential. I have "faith", that their brains haven't totally atrophied, and "hope" that they will start using them.

SOMEBODY has to pay for all the things they want to be handed free gratis.

"There ain't no such thing as a free lunch".
