Southern Speak.....
I'm a Northern born young woman who transplanted to the South almost 14 years ago! After all this time, it still amazes me to here the way they speak. Here are some examples of what I've heard since I've lived in the south:

"Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit!"

"I'm fixin' ta do that."

"Cute as a sack full of puppies."

"If things get any better, I may have to hiiiire someone to hep me enjoy it."

"Gooder than grits."

"The wheels a turnin' but the hampster's dead."

"She's dumber than a box o' rocks, bless her heart."

and finally....

"Yeah, I ort ta do that."
