| Silence |
We're stood here together, both of us alone.
Stranded in silence, no way to get home.
The darkness is looming, filling your eyes.
Covering our hearts with a flawless disguise.
I handed you memories. You gave me regret.
I know there's no way that I'll ever forget
All those times I looked over, screaming inside.
Not running away, but wanting to hide.
Feeling too much, for one lone heart to take.
Struggling along and not wanting to break.
But I was too weak to hold the weight of your lies.
I guess everything falls, just like everything dies.
You took all I had, still I was convicted.
Your words were like poison, but I was addicted.
And look where it got me. There's nothing but red.
I should feel love, but its anger instead.
There aren't any words, just the sound of your mind,
Thinking this over. Trying to find
Another excuse. Yet another lie.
Holding me back from saying goodbye.
