Watching Hook yesterday made me so nostaglic(I'm in a much better mood now, I bottled it up in a nice Fanta bottle).  I want to watch all my old favorite tv shows and movies. Like The Torkelsons, Doug, The Goonies, Flash Forward, Double Double Toil and Trouble( yes I did watch the Olsen twins movies).  The Disney Channel really should make a retro Disney channel for people like me, Noggin isn't enough.  Hunting down all the dvd box sets would take too much energy, time, and money.  Remember the good ol' days of watching Rocko's Modern Life after school or Ren and Stimpy.  Nickelodeon was like the only channel I watched, except for when I got my nerd-on and watched the Discovery and History Channel.  Shark week, the Egyptians, and the prehistoric specials were and still are the coolest.  Who doesn't love edutainment, its learning with fun.   

Wich brings me to Physics is Phun, a program at my school that tries to get students to get into physics.  Unfortunately, it had more edu than it had tainment so there were more Phd. students there and students who just wanted extra credit for class of course.   must say I was kind of entertained some of the time. What nearly sickened me about the program was the baby geniuses in the class.  While I struggled to get circuits and dynamics, some 7 year old who is sure to be a 40 year old virgin would answer all the questions correct and even demonstrate to the crowd. However, they probably will invent something to revolutionize technology, so I guess being a virgin for so long will be an even trade off for billions of dollars. 

Now I get to the meat of this entry, so far you have the potatoes(for you vegetarians).  I've decided the direction I am going to go for this blog.  My passion is music and movies, more music than movies though.  So each entry will delve into something about music, maybe a review or just a recommendation.  But also what is going on in my life, and how it maybe pertain to that piece of music.  Just to let you know, I am quite ecclectic so all genres of music are fair game.
