| Things I've Noticed |
Fall seems to be advancing beautifully. The weather is cooler and leaves are falling—it’s my favorite time of year!
Now that it cooler we have been having a fire in the evenings. It makes the home so much more inviting to see a fire on the hearth with the kids (& their pets) stretched out in front of the fire.
The other thing I’ve noticed is that the house seems darker at night. To me this is counter intuitive. We have a glass door in the fire place so it should be emitting light and make the house brighter at night, not darker. None the less when the lights go out it has been darker.
I’ve also been trying to incorporate more garlic into the families’ meals. Whether it’s the Garlic or the fire I can’t say, but there has been a mellowing of conflicts in the family over the past week.
I also started my period this morning. (10 Days early) I usually start within a day or two of the Full Moon. I have always thought it odd that I am given a sign of not being a mother under the sign of the mother. If this sticks for my new cycle starting time I will be fertile during the Full Moon and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Our rabbits were bread under the last full moon and will be born under this full moon, so maybe it’s fitting. Maybe this is nature’s way of saying it’s time to think about family.
