When I was in an abusive relationship. Seems all I ever did was apologize for stuff he thought I was doing, just to save face. It never worked though. He'd find something else to whine about - something else to blame me for.

Yes, I have but in the end the person would have to come and apologize once the truth was revealed.

yes of course. My brother flushed the crusts of his toast down the toilet aged 4 but I took the blame and apologised to my parents so we could still go to the zoo that day.

I do that all the time at work. My employer needs to be right. He knows I don't mean it. He just cant say anything else after that. I usually include something about him being all powerfull and all knowing. Laughter insues and the peace is restored.
