approached by every kind of weirdo,
sifting through requests that include little to no love for you?
don't you get tired
going to family reunions
and watching those you love
seethe in resentment toward one another
while they profess undying passionate love for you?
aren't you exhausted
listening to one side of our tongues
disagree with the the other side,
watching the hearts you built for love
be filled with hate?
i get tired of seeing it and i DO it!
in a world acted out on the stage of manipulation,
can you help?
Mother Teresa asked people to pray for her joy.
i think America needs to ask people to pray for our love.
we have devolved into people who live one aspect of love.
we need help with aspects of love like patience,
respect, compassion,
whatever the opposite of prejudice would be.
there is a LOT in our country that needs to heal.
beginning with your people, Lord,
so we can show them how,
send your word to heal,
to rebuild,
and to love.
there are prayer chains everywhere.
we need help with the soil they are planted in.
teach us, Lord, to love
