| My God Is Real!!! (#2) ~ 'There Is Power' Update
|
|
|
Well, I found out tonight, who was literally at death's door yesterday (Fri.) morning, when God awakened me with an urgency to pray! We just learned late tonight, that yesterday, one of our young grandson's had had an asthma attack, so severe, that his inhaler, other medications, and breathing treatment at home, were not working!
Our oldest son's family lives in a small town, more than an hour's drive from a major city. They rushed the grandson to a minor emergency in another nearby town, where he was sent on to a hospital in yet, another somewhat larger town. Still, nothing the medical profession did helped, so he was rushed by ambulance to the Children's Hospital in the major city, where he was admitted. As it turns out, one of his lungs was trying to collapse due to the severity of the asthma attack! (Actually, me reporting the lung trying to collapse was incorrect....please read further to understand!) Because the bronchial tubes, etc. become inflamed and swell during an asthma attack, it makes breathing difficult, and in the most severe of cases, such as my grandson's, can even close off the airway, altogether. **It was learned that there was complete blockage leading to one lung and partial blockage leading to the other! He could have died!....but God, in His grace and mercy, intervened!
During this time, one of his younger brother's also, began having a severe asthma attack. The Children's Hospital admitted him, too, as they said his condition would have worsened over time, maybe, to the extent of big brother's if not treated! How fortunate for him that they were already there at the hospital (a blessing in disguise!) ! Their little family all had a really long two days and one night, but, Praise God!, both boys are doing so much better and were released tonight (Sat.) from the hospital. They are now back at home resting with added meds and the older one running a temperature; both will see the doctor, again, on Monday!
(Revisions to Update as more details were learned.)
Both boys are now doing very well.....they have had their meds adjusted and more added....the steroids are causing them to be hyper at times, though, driving their parents near the edge, I'm afraid! Hahaha! Ah well, the 'joys of parenthood'!
I am just so thankful to the Lord because His Word says that He is touched by our infirmities (sicknesses/diseases) and that whatsoever we ask in His Name (the precious name of Jesus! ), trusting and believing, He will do! What a blessed assurance to know that my God IS real and that I can depend on Him, anytime, anywhere! Thank you, Jesus!!!
There IS power in the name of Jesus! There IS healing in the name of Jesus! There IS salvation in the name of Jesus! There IS deliverance in the name of Jesus!
Chorus from a song:
Oh, Jesus
Oh, Jesus
Do you know Him, today?
Please don't turn Him away!
Oh, Jesus
Oh, Jesus
Without Him, how lost I'd surely be!
My God IS real! Do you know Him, today?
May this testimony bless you and give you hope!
My hope is in Jesus for my God is real!

I'm glad that you were willing to get out of the way...and do exactly what the Lord led you to do. Often times, people refuse to spend time in prayer...they try to rationalize and explain away things...instead of embracing them, and just spending some time in prayer. In reality, what would have happened had you not prayed when the Lord awoke you?
I think it's phenomenal how the Lord can use us to help someone else. :)
Where would we be without Him and His grace/mercy?
Thanks for sharing! Blessings to you, dear friend!
