| "His Strength Is Perfect"

In reading the latest update on the condition of a loved one, after yet, another surgery in this ongoing battle (Cancer) for his young life, I am reminded of the words from this song I love so much, by CeCe Winans:
His strength is perfect
So perfect
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength
But sometimes I wonder what he can do for me
No great success to show
No glory of my own
Yet in my weakness he is there to let me know

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone
He'll carry us when we can't carry on
Raised in his power the weak becomes strong

His strength is perfect
We can only know the power that he holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes
His strength it must begin
When ours comes to an end
He hears our humble cry and proves once again

God has demonstrated His great love and miraculous healing power, over and over again! This is no exaggeration to say that this young man would not be here today, if it were not for God's grace and mercy! Over the last 7 years, this 18 yr. old has lost one leg, removed first at the knee, then, later, at the hip; lost a complete lung; had close to 30 chemo treatments and many radiation treatments; lost his hair; and in this latest surgery, had tumors removed from his upper and lower jaw, requiring reconstructive surgery. He is facing plastic surgery and more chemo, and yet, because he loves the Lord with all of his heart, continues to praise and uplift Him, in spite of these circumstances!
There is much sickness, heartache, and pain in this world! I believe all of us are touched by it in one way or another, at some time in our lives. Oh, what blessed assurance to feel Jesus walking beside us, especially, in these times of great sorrow or darkness! I am so glad to know Him, for He truly makes all of the difference!
Lord, we give you the praise and the glory for your mighty works! Thank you, Jesus, for your grace and mercy!

Hello, 'Gwatlan'! Doctors and modern medicine can, oftentimes, be of great help, but, when the doctors have done all they know to do, it is so comforting to know that we can 'Give it All to Jesus' (song).
Most recent update on this young man: His Oncologist told him he is truly a miracle as he shouldn't even be alive!

Hey, Deb! Yes, I have had Larry added to the Prayer Chain at our church.....there is NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD!!! :)
Regarding the 'young man'(If anyone is interested, check my blog)
....latest doctors' reports are even more encouraging, AND he is recently engaged to his long-time girlfriend with plans for a wedding within the next couple of years!
So glad to have recently had the opportunity to meet you in person! Blessings to you and your loved ones, as well!
