Well today is the 24th of March 2008 and here i am writing a blog when i should be working on my essay that is due momentarily. Since i am already an old man (23) ive give you a quick background glance at my life and how i came to be where i am. I was born in the city of Napier, New Zealand where i lived till i was about 22. While i was in Napier i mucked about in high school and then did a computer course at the local university for 3 years (i pretty much mucked about there too). While i was studying i worked part time at the local supermarket and then once i had had enough of studying i worked there full time for a year. So yes, it would be fair to say that while i was in Napier i did not do a lot with my life and honestly didnt really care.

I moved down to Dunedin with two of my friends about 9 months ago and i have not looked back since, Dunedin is a great place and i love it here. I do miss some of my old friends back in Napier but hopefully we can catch up one day. I worked at a local electronics shop for about four months and it was my job to fix peoples broken computers and sent other items off for repair. Also part of the job description consisted of customers treating you like garbage and taking out all their pent up anger on you, so i got out of there fairly quickly as i was not being paid enough to put up with that kinf of abuse.

It was then i realised that working with computers did not really excite me and that i needed a different way of thinking in my life, this is when i decided to take up theology. I am in my first year of the course and so far i absolutely love it, the university is awesome and the course makes me challenge my assumptions about life and history every single day, my brain has never had such a vigerous workout and its motivating me to stop being so lazy which is fantastic. I am also currently leading a bible study group once a week which can be very stressful sometimes as i have to juggle it with my studies, but if it helps people who attend the study in their christian walk then it is more than worth it.

I am currently sitting here deciding which essay question to go ahead with, its a tough decision because i dont feel confident about either of them and can tell both of them are going to be somewhat of a nightmare.

Anyway thats it for my first blog, ill probely update it once a week or so as lonmg as i remeber .
