I am home all day without children and my husband is deployed.  Therefore, I thought it was a perfect time for some quality "me time" in my own bedroom in my own house.  I thought I was perfectly safe to indulge in myself without interruption.

Boy was I wrong.  Right in the middle of my "me time" I hear a knock at the front door.  In a normal house this wouldn't be an issue, but since we are currently living in a single wide trailer until the home is built, it caused a problem.  Luckily I had shut my bedroom door, which is right next to the front door.  I thought I could just ignore it, cause whoever it was could come back later or just leave the package on the front porch.

So I continue on my way, when I hear the door open and my mother-in-law say, "Knock, Knock, where are you, I know you are home."  So i jump out of the bed while turning off the toy and throw on some shorts.  I rush out of the room closing the door behind me, my heart in my throat.

Do you realize how hard it is to carry on a normal conversation after being interrupted?  So then she says, "Hey let me see your new bed."  I dive for the door handle before she can open the door saying "No, at the same time."  I could not have her seeing the toys especially after interrupting my play time.

I finally got her out of the house, the whole time wondering how she couldn't smell it.  Because I could smell it.  I am sure she now thinks I was hiding something or someone in the house.  Oh well, lesson learned.  When I finally able to have "me time" again I will make sure the front door is locked!!!
