 Snowing Like a Madman
It's snowing like a madman. Forecast is calling for 30 to 50 cms (12" to 20") and the wind is blowing it around nicely. Supposedly record breaking, it reminds me of the old time blizzards of yester year. The police are advising everyone to stay off the roads as in many places the whiteouts will make driving impossible. Thankfully I don't have to deal with it, I have plenty of groceries and I'm not required to travel. I'll just hibernate in here and enjoy my time by the fireplace.

My oldest teen-aged daughter remains asleep. I suppose she stayed up late (Internet boyfriend) and is enjoying the opportunity to rest. My youngest daughter is requesting my presence outside to play in the snow. I suppose she will want to build a fort or maybe go tobogganing. I'm gonna go out there in a few minutes, right after I have a bite to eat. I don't expect to be outside for any length of time.

Later this afternoon I intend on watching some hockey on television. The Ontario Hockey league has some great junior hockey (16-20 years old) of which many are destined to play in the NHL. It's interesting to see these kids, many of which are millionaires in the making (and know it!!) play hockey. My daughters are both big fans and we go to many of the games.

Later I will cook a nice dinner (chicken maybe? with potatoes, carrots, etc. etc.) since we are captive to the weather anyway. I enjoy cooking. BBQing is my favourite. A beer or two and some sunshine. Today will be indoors and cooking on the stove. Oh well the food will be good :)
