 English People
I'm not sure how I feel about the stereotype that 'Americans are dumb' anymore. All the English people I've ever met are levels below Americans on the IQ range. Now, I'm well aware that I probably met some pretty bad outliers. : / I must have. One guy was going to school for political science and it was his belief that the U.S. bombing China would solve all the world's problems. Now, I'm definitely not a political expert, but I really think that doing so would *cause* a lot more problems, than help fix any.

If you feel otherwise, please let me know how you came to that conclusion. Maybe you're semi-retarded.

Hmm.... First,I am English by birth, though I have lived most of my life in Australia.

Second, I have nothing against Americans, however I do not consider them superior or in anyway "God's gift" to the world.

Now I would like to know where you got your statistics from, quote "all the English people I've ever met are levels below Americans on the IQ range." When did you test them all, and how many do you actually know? What Americans did you compare them to?

Do you seriously believe American has some God given right to "solve" the worlds problems? And how, given that it cannot solve its own? It is not alone in that as NO country can solve its own problems! That was not meant as a criticism. However it is a fact.

While I am here, and you seem to be super intelligent and have all the answers, perhaps you could explain to this dumb ass Englishman why Some Americans think it is OK for America to point ICBM's at everyone else but nobody else should be allowed to point them at the USA? For instance, America "wet its pants" when Russia wanted to put missiles in Cuba back in'63.And yet to this very day you have them shoved in everyone elses face.I expect it takes American IQ levels to figure that out.

To answer your original question. No bombing China would not solve anything. Hey..have a good day over there!

Haha, whoooaaa buddy. Calm down. :)

Why would you ask an absurd question like that? When I tested their IQ levels? I figured the majority of readers would understand that I wasn't writing literally. I really don't understand how you got the idea that I believe Americans are superior. No where in that tiny ass paragraph did I say that. I'm sorry to say, maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like you have some kind of complex going on. Didn't really mean to offend you, if so.

Anyway, thank you, and I hope your day gets better.
Maybe it would be best if you went and read a different blog.

Are you deliberately wishing to insult the English? If you are, I am at a loss to understand your motive. If you are not, then this post would not seem to be any too bright?

"Now, I'm well aware that I probably met some pretty bad ***outliers***. : / I must have."

I really don't understand how you guys can misinterpret this. The only person I was insulting was the dumb-ass English guy on the bus, and possibly the few others that I have met. He really did deserve it.

I'm not the kind of person to judge a group of people based on a few individuals... seems like all of you took it that way, so I can only assume as of this point, that maybe you do.

Hello AbsolutelyNothing.
So you met an English idiot? Great. There's about 48m of us English people in total, bound to be a fair few that are idiots.
And it's the patriotic duty of politics students to be particularly idiotic while in the safety of academic surroundings where they can get it out of their systems (I know, I was one!)

But I think what everyone was getting at is that your post above generalised when you say you meant to be specific - it was the phrase "All the English people I've ever met are levels below Americans on the IQ range" that did it.
Don't worry, we don't really believe you think that if you pitted any Brit against any American, the American would always be more intelligent.
I mean, look at the health care debate you guys have going on - the senator that claimed that if Stephen Hawking were British the NHS would've let him live I think outranks a whole bus-full of English idiots in the idiocy stakes...

No, I understand what everyone was getting at.

They just have the kind of personalities that I can't appreciate. :(

Mine was lighthearted and meant to be somewhat humorous - but everyone seems to be looking at it way too seriously. : / Also, I didn't *mean* to be specific, I was specific.

For that note, maybe I should make a post about homosexuals, blacks, or women and see how that gets everyone riled up. ;) I think about just every English Thoughts.com member read my post. Haha.

As for that guy, you're right :). Though the link you gave me didn't work when I tried, I know what you're referring to and agree. If you lived around where I live in Texas, you would feel absolutely hopeless every day after all the uneducated comments you would have to listen to.

http://atlanticwire.theatlantic.com/read-more.php?id=67 9 if you're interested in the Hawking story - he is of course English, and has received NHS treatment, and nor left to die as implied...
