| About Us |
These are thoughts I've collected over the past 5 years. They are my own personal beliefs and observations, they should not be taken as any sort of advice on how to lead your life. I don't want to say that any are true or false facts, they are just thoughts about the world I live in. Feel free to read them, don't take anything personal. My intention is not to insult anyone, generalize or judge anyone, they are mostly things I struggle with in life. If anyone feels the same about certain comments, please say so, it would interest me to hear.
- Open your eyes and watch out for signs.
- Learn from other people. Observe.
- See other people as equal but different.
- Don’t become a gadget; these things have neither soul nor substance.
I saw this lady walking down the street, she looked like she had a plastic face, I assume from plastic surgery. She had two cell phones, iPod and other stuff to keep her occupied. These gadgets reminded me of her, soulless objects that need renewing after a few months.
- Travelling, moving around makes my soul happy. I wonder, is this in my blood? Is this in everyones blood? Are we forced to stay in one place due to our comitments to society? I believe being here is about the soul experiencing new things, for other people it might be to experience the same things everyday. We are all different and one cannot generalise these things. We are all here to experience ourselves in different ways. No way is right or wrong.
Thousands of things are going on around us, all this is absorbed by our senses and processed through millions of thought processes, consciously and unconsciously. All of these come together to pave our road through life. I believe that one should not try to control or force which direction to go but rather help steer your life in the direction that feels right by listening to ones gut feeling. This takes a great amount of trust. Everything is connected, there is a current flowing between everything, connecting everything.
- We live in a judging society, people are always judging others around them. This is enhanced by something I call the identity war. You are being judged on your appearance, by what you wear, what you do, what you eat, what you shop. This of course mostly the case for when you meet someone for the first time. But even after that, the judging doesn’t stop. I think it’s even more in cities that this is the case. These days there is less talking and no more interest in anything deeper. Too much importance is being placed on objects, things, gadgets. It’s becoming an obsession to have the latest and the newest.
- Constant change of state. From one to the other. Too hot, want it cold. Cold is too cold, want it hot.
- I generally write this stuff when I am bored, waiting or have nothing to do. These moments are valuable these days as a lot of people including myself are rushing around too much and don’t take the time to sit still for a while. Try it, sit down, sit still and just let your mind flow free.
- Hamburgers from McDonalds or any other fast food chain are just horrible. How can any intelligent mind eat such a thing (no offence, sorry)? I see people eat them so fast that it is no wonder that they are produced almost pre-digested, they have no substance. Take the time and look at a fast food hamburger, touch it. They are so soft that you can squeeze them in your hand and suck it up with a straw.
- What if, it were possible to swap consciences between different bodies? Why are we just conscious only in our own body? Can we jump into a different person’s body?
- There is a war going on, a constant, invisible war of image, fashion, music, appearance. It’s taking place on the streets of our cities, in our shops. A war of technology, consumerism. The identity war.
- Self-sufficient, able, clever, aware, conscious, on the ball, independent, open minded, receivable, these are traits I pride myself in when doing work and being out and about.
I think people should move their thoughts inwards to the back of their brain a bit more and think more about themselves. We encounter hundreds of new people every day and get bombarded by images, texts, sounds and emotions.
Our brain naturally builds up a defense and our focus is narrowed to only a small section of what we see and hear directly in front of us. We are loosing the ability to widen our senses and focus on everything that happens around us. If we were living in smaller communities in remoter areas and would only meet new people once a month, perhaps our perception of our surroundings will widen again and we would place more value on new experiences. But, is that a way of life we are prepared to go back to? Does it mean we have to isolate ourselves? I personally don't think so. I think we just need to start focusing on switching our autopilot off and learn to take control again. We need to break our habits and routines. Our brain is capable of consciously absorbing every detail, every face, sound and imagery. We can change our habits, it takes time and effort.
- Karma, all the good or bad things you do will come back to you threefold.
- A lot of people are not themselves. They change, only to try and sound more interesting, successful or please others. This is not necessary, I think people should have more believe in themselves and be themselves. I do the same and I'll try and change that.
- It is time to return to my core values. In terms of what you do, remember what inspired you at the beginning, remember what pushed you to do what you love doing. This is what we need to remember from time to time. Don't get distracted by what other people are doing or by technology, use this only as a tool. It's time to go back to basics.
- Are we connected to earth? The chi energy that flows through all of us and connects us all. I wonder what will happen if we ever manage to travel through space. Will we feel disconnected to earth? Is this energy flowing through space? Will there be similar effects as when we would get cut-off from the sunlight? Do we need the connection/proximity to earth?
- I am annoyed today. Mostly at people around me. Angry people, irresponsible, me me me attitude. Lazy, fat, sitting and eating without thinking where they are and what they are eating. Pissed off at this society, narrow minded, controlled and many other things. I need nature, freedom, no people, earth sounds. I need to get out.
People here are too much about what they wear and what they look like, rather than think about the planet, the ground and the street they walk on. I am angry, need a release, need nature. Too many people live in their own little perfect world and ignore/refuse the things that are going on around them. A good long hiking trip would do me good.
- We create our own reality. Change your state of mind and the whole world around you will change from bad to good, dark to light or the other way around if you please.
