Seems to me, in this day and age, everyone thinks there's something wrong with them.
"I'm fat!"
"I'm ugly!"
"I'm stupid!"
The first two they fix with surgery.
The last, well.. you're just plain screwed if you're right. Sorry bud.
But if you think you're stupid then you're probably not.
After all, you did just think.
Back to the surgery.
My mom wants gastric bypass surgery. Cuz she's overwieght.
I'm overwieght; not fat but not itty-bitty like all the supermodels and beauty queens.
Thats okay, I like the way I look, and most of its muscle anyway. (Not just saying that, I'll take any of you anyday. Unless you're Chuck Norris. lmao)
Gastric bypass is a life-changing surgery, and can be downright dangerous.
Much as I argue with my mom, I'd rather not see her die because society told her she should have a 2'' waist and double D boobs.
So its my personal opinion that unless your life is in danger because of your weight, you should probably try to lose it the old fashioned way.
No, not the miracle-diets-that-never-work, and not anorexia either.
Healthy food, exercise... and don't worry too much about the 5 lbs your vanity says to lose. They don't really matter. Not everyone is born to be skinny. Some of us are simply built differently.
And plastic surgery on your face? Please.
Unless you are seriously mutilated or deformed, you do not need to have your nose shrunk or your lips puffed up. Face lifts look worse than the original.
But you say you don't like how you look. You hate God cuz you don't look like Angelina Jolie, or whoever.
Hello!
You look like you.
Are you going to give up your originality to be someone else? To look like someone else?
Duh.
I may not be the prettiest face on the planet, but I'd rather look like me than anyone else.
And ya know something?
Confidence makes all the difference.
People see you as you see yourself.
