I must admit that I've never been very good at staying on budget. I usually just make the payment on time and carry on until the next payday. After hearing about Citi group increasing the interest rates on their credit cards before the law to protect against this goes into effect, I decided to check the interest rate on my card....Suprise!!! It's almost 30% Can anyone tell me why a person that pays their bills gets shafted like this??? I always pay twice the minimum payment...well, I will be paying this card off....and I think that I won't ever get a credit card again. This whole scam is just wrong...

Why? Because THAT IS THE CONTRACT RATE! Don't like it Don't use it.
According to Dave Ramsey Citi is the worst to deal with. I have one card that is admistered by Citi and have never had a problem with them.
Paying 2x the min. they still own you for a long time

No preaching but CC cards are geat but pay them off every month and get one that pays you to use it like Discover. There are hundreds of cards you can get today with interest under 10% AND if you call Citi and bitch they will lower the rate on your card, unless you are a proven deadbeat.

Actually when I got the card the rate was 23%.....and my card is thru Chase now,originally WAMU....Back then my credit was really messed up and they took a chance on me which is why I tried to stay with them. And you are right, I shouldn't use it.
