| MY LIFE IN UK AS AN ASYLUM SEEKER |
After two weeks in Millenium Hotel, i was told to prepare for another interview, What interview???, I was told NASS, what is NASS ???? National Asylum Support Service.Oh mine ,I thought it was some sort of scientific organization .What is this again??? .i was again driven to another office in London for further interview.The same questions but this time they want to know if i have any relative in this country, how much money do i have with me and if i am homeless!!!. After filling a whole bulk of forms and another photo, i was told to go and wait for a respons if i qualify for support as an Asylum Seeker.I started wandering what was going on!! from one form to another and no ending.Fingers crossed.
A week after NASS, a huge envelope was handed over to me.It was like a manual for best behavior with the title, Mr---- with number ----- your application for NASS support has been approved you are to reside at the above address and your dispersal town is in Liverpool.As an asylum seeker you have no choice and if you fail to travel to your dispersal town , your application and support will be terminated.
You are not to use your accomodation for any other purpose except for what has been stated, If you are to leave your accomodation for three days, you need to inform the accomodation provider for permission. You are not allow another person to sleep in you room overnight.You are not to take employment either paid or unpaid.You will have to inform NASS if you have a child or you partner is pregnant .You have to inform NASS if you are sick or go to prison, and a whole lot of instructions on best bahavior and the final warning.
IF YOU BREACH ANY OF THESE RULES YOUR SUPPORT WILL BE TERMINATED OR YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO A FINE OR IMPRISONMENT. Nass will support you while you asylum application and appeal is pending.WHAT ARE ALL THESE???? AM I A PRISONER????ONLY TIME WILL TELL!!!!
