MY LIFE IN UK AS AN ASYLUM SEEKER
Hello friends and foes, This is my seventh year in United kingdom as an asylum seeker and because of recent  events i feel i need to write my true life experience in this blog. Some will find it interesting and others boring  however i know it  will inspire others too.
For my own  safety , i have tried not to use my real name but all the event  are true.

I left my war torn country in west africa and claimed asylum in United Lingdom in 2002 when my life and that of my family were in danger.I lost my father  and my pregnant parner when they were tortured and brutaly killed because my whereabout  was not disclosed.

My asylum baptism started  started at Heathrow airport, because as someone escaping from danger, i claimed asylum immediatly at the airport. The stern immigration officer toldme to sit down and after ten mins he came with a photographer and my photo was taken, after that i was taken to the luggage section to identify my bag and all the contents were searched. I was then sent to a holding place  for about five hours.

At the holding place i saw people from different nationalities waiting and a lot of confution began in my head, what is going on here? most of the people look tired and dejected and after somre time , a smart and stern looking lady  ask me to follow her to her office where i was bombarded with over three hundred questions about  my parents name address and that of other family members, schools i have attended and churches and proffesion, and even how i came to the country and who assisted me.Before all this interrogations finished, i was sent to the airport clinic to be Xray for a reason i dont know.i was later sent to a place to be finger printed and my eyes scanned Let i forget, i arrive at the airport at  6AM  and all this ordeals ened at around  10PM. I was given an identity card  awith a letter  IS86 with a warning, YOU ARE A PERSON LIABLE TO BE DETAINED. I was then handed over to an organization called refugees arrival project.

i am sorry to say friend
but all these ordeals you speak of are really nothing, when we have in excess of 100,000 illegal imigrants into our country every year, then yes we have to be very thourough in the way that we check asylum seekers.
although i am sad that you lost your pregnant partner and other relations, we only have your word that that is true, and yes every single minute little detail has to be checked.
i hope that you have your life back real soon but you must understand why the british government and people must make sure that you are who you say that you are.
take care and have a good weekend

I think he/she is more talking about the way asylum seekers are beeing aproached.
Course everything needs to be checked thourough.
But in most European dentain centers they are treated pretty bad and aproached pretty agressive.
Thoughroghness ( lol dont know if that is good english ) yes but do it humainly and thats oftend the probleme.

Hope your ordeal will end soon, goodluck.

we in the UK are the most welcoming country to foreign nationals in europe, that is a fact friend, and as long as they meet immigration rules they will be welcomed here.
there is not and never has been any inhumane treatment of any immigrant, be they illegal or asylum seekers.
when they pass all of the criteria for living in this country they are treated like any other UK citizen.
all detention centres in the uk provide three hot meals a day, a bed to sleep in every night, pool and snooker tables, 42" screen tv's games consoles such as nintendo wii's, x-boxes and playstation threes.
they have the use of our lawyers who are paid for by the taxpayers of the uk, and when they are successfull with their applications they are provided with a house, furniture and electricals and money to buy food.
there are thousands of homeless british people who are not treated like this in this country, so to say that illegal imigrants or in this case asylum seekers are not humanely treated is a gross miss interpretation of the facts.

Where do you see me saying that i disagree with the fact about the immigration laws ??? Or that people are beeing treated bad after they get the green light to stay ??

Its widely known that dentain centers arent really that humain in Europe prove of that are the investigations that are going on from the U.N.,Amesty International and even the EU ( also against my own country ) of violations of human rights in matters as in medical care etc etc etc.

When iam talking about inhumain treatment iam talking about something else, things the public dont see.

If you read what i said it, is about how those people are beeing aproached.
They are beeing treated as prisoners like they are criminals.
And yes i do know what iam talking about cause i worked in a dentain center here in the netherlands.
Have you actually seen how it goes by behind closed doors ??? when the camera's are off ??? and when there are no journalists around ???

Just to give you 1 example a man's wife is laying in the hospital cause she is aspecting a baby, but he isnt allowed to give her a call to see how she is doing.
They wont tell her in what hospital she is, hell even after she gave birth he wasnt allowed to visit her not even under super vision.
No one told him if he had a son or a daughter or how the baby or his wife was doing.

Thats what i also call inhumain and these things happen on daily bases.
I dont call that normall.
It absolutley drove him crazzy.

I also been on different exchange trips through Europe and also been to the UK and also spoke with colleagues over there and the same things happen there as well.

Weither you want to believe it or not these things happen and not just once or twice.
The things ive seen..seriously no one deserves that.
Beeing treated humain is not only having a tv or a game console.
Plus in most cases a game console is not even paid by the state but comes from well fair organisations.

Its far from humain what happens in those centers behind closed doors.

And yes i do agree with you that you have 1000sands of people who are citiziens who have it worse same goes for Holland, those issues need to be delt with as well.
I think its ashame that things like this happen in wealthy nations as ours.
Weither people are refugees or citiziens no one deserves that.

Enjoy your night, -mokum-

I Was brought up in orphanages from the age of 3 months until i was 16 years old, i was physically and sexually abused on an almost daily basis.
i was starved for days on end and was given rags to wear. so yes my friend i know what inhuman means and i know that all asylum seekers and ILLEGAL imigrants want to reach the UK because they know they will be treated like human beings here, i france they were camping in disgusting rat infested squater camps, with no food or money, and only the clothes that they stood in.
to label us like the rest of europe as inhuman is grossly untrue and grossly unfair.
we did not ask or invite them to invade our shores, they chose to do that and if and when they are granted asylum, then they will be set up for life in a country that is to soft to say no.
i sugest you research your information a bit more before you go getting angry with me my friend.
no one was having a go at you, i was just stating the true facts.
have a nice day

First off all iam not angry at you at all.
There is a diffence between having a heated disgussion and beeing angry.
If you think somebody is angry when he disagrees with you then wow....

Further you make a lot of asumptions and your not going into the contence
of what i posted.

Where did you see me say that Europe is inhumain ?
All i said inhumain things do happen nothing more nothing less.
These things happen wether you wanna believe it or not.
Europe is wonderfull, but that doesnt means bad things dont happen.
-sigh- again you never worked in a center let alone ever visited one,so how do you know whats going on behind closed doors ?
Again i worked in one.

I didnt asked you if you knew what inhumain ment, i asked you if you thought the example i gave you is
inhumain or not.
What you been through in your life is terrible and thats an understatement no one deserves that, but what has
that got to do with this disgussion ?
I also cant tell you what ive been through in my life but thats irrelevant in this disgussion.

You keep talking about so called facts, i dont see any facts.
I see you give your opinion which is fine cause we are all entittled to have our own opinions.
But what facts ?
Fact is that those investigations are going on, that is a fact.

And yes i have seen the footage about that camp in France, but that wasnt an goverment center.
And yes its good they broke that camp down cause indeed the living circumstances were horrible and human unworthy.
But what has that got to do with the mistands that do happen ?? and the on going investigations ?????

So just because we provide them a roof above there heads and give them 3 meals a day mistands dont happen ????????????
Mistands also happen in hospitals and in normall prisons according to you thats all ok.
Cause after all hey they have a roof above there head and get 3 meals a day.
That is basicly what your saying, and i know you dont mean that.
Human rights is not only about giving people shelter or feeding them.
If those rights are beeing violated it should be delt with accordingly.

Iam going to end this disgussion cause we can go on forever like this.
We wont agree on this which is fine.

Enjoy your weekend
