i am at work tonight sitting with a patient who just recently tried to kill herself due to being along. she had been married for over 20years, they never had any kids, and secluded themselves from each of thier family, just wanted to be the 2 of them. he now has died and left her alone. this is not the first time she has done this. she frequently comes thru ER "to visit" as some doctors write in thier progress notes. but how sad. it is 420 in the morning and i am sitting here starring at her, listening to her snore, looking at the brusing on her face from when she passed out and hit the tub after inhaling chlorine. how sad.
