SPRING

Dear Kelly,
Spring has sprung!!  I found a rose among the thorns of my 8 rose bushes!!
The angel trumpet is coming back, I planted Zenia's and Dalia's.
The Zenia's I planted along the walk and around the mail box, had to add more dirt to to the bed's of both so the flowers would be raised up from the landscape timbers. The Dalia's I planted in the three hanging baskets on the front porch.

Dad started digging out the rock in the front where the bench is. There are two layers of Carolina rock there so it will take a few day's to dig it all up....Now what to do with the rock?
He did not like the way it turned out last summer so he decided he was going to change it this year.
Take out all the rock except what is under and in front of the bench. Plant bougainvillea's in the back where the trellis is and plant flowers in the rest of the bed.  Leave the birdbath and the fountain. I think it will look good when it is done and the flowers start to grow.

We wanted to get to the back behind the fence and start the vegetable garden but it is so wet it will have to wait. Hope it dries out by next weekend, we need to get it going. Also wanted to weed out the rose bed but alas to much rain this week to even get into the back yard.

C. has not had a good day, he did not sleep well last night, so now has slept all day and all evening....alas this is one of the problems of schizophrenia, finding it hard to sleep and then sleeping too much at the wrong times.
Friday he had a great day, He was so excited that the vocational rehab was going to help him to find a job, it was all he could talk about from Tuesday on.
Saturday he spent with J. and came home still up from the day before. But alas today was just not as good.
I try to get use to the up's and downs but it is hard. I keep telling myself it has been such a change from just a few months ago when he went into the hospital, and there has been such a big improvement. He realizes he needs to stay on his meds and go to his counseling appointments. That is such an improvement!! You can actually hold a conversation with him, but I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop.  I need to stop, but it is always there.
Hope he is feeling better tomorrow.

One step forward, two steps back
