My book, Girl Get That Child Support: The Baby Moma's Guide To Tracking Down A Deadbeat, Finding His Cash And Making Him Pay Every Dollar He Owes You, Smart Mom Publishing ISBN 9780978790202, has caused me to receive e-mails from all over the country from men and women who are dealing with child support and custody issues. This past week I received an e-mail from a woman who identified herself as Tina. Tina is a single mother of two kids who is having a difficult time making ends meet without help from her children's father. Her $7.00 an hour paycheck is just not enough to cover rent, utlities, car note, food and clothing. Tina told me that she has resorted to feeding her kids ketchup sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner because she just does not have enough money to take her through the week. What makes Tina's story so bad is that her kids' father has moved on to another woman and now uses his income to provide for his new woman's kids.
While supporting someone else's kids may sound nice and noble, it is down right dumb to put their needs over the needs of your own flesh and blood. Charity begins at home!

I agree with you 100%!! So many men can care less about their own, they find the next best thing and that becomes their nuber 1 priority. The act is down rite disgusting

Even as a divorced father and an advocate for "Father's Rights", I will have to agree with you, that a father's own children SHOULD be put first and foremost, before even his own welfare and CERTAINLY before any "ready-made" family of his choice. His own children should be taken care of and anything he has left OVER after that he can do with as he wishes. There are most definately some "Dead Beat Dads" still out there, but in honesty there are a lot of "BEAT DEAD DADS" as well. Beaten down by unjust trial courts and vindictive women who use children as pawns in a divorce battle and seperation of assets. These kids are NOT AN ASSET! They are living human beings in need of BOTH of their parents, no matter the two parents can't LIVE together the kids still deserve BOTH mother and fathers. NUFF SAID

Your right. There just must be a way that society can bring both mothers and fathers to the mutual understanding that kids are real human beings with feelings just as adults are and they can't be used as pawns.

The reality is however that most men tend to spend their money on the child of the woman they love the most. Even if that kid does no belong to him, if he's in love with the child's mother that kid will eventually get access to his bank account.
