Had another interesting talk with the Noodle.
Seems that he is having bleeds again from the tumor on his neck. This really concerns me, and I have voiced that opinion to him as well. He continues to tell me that this is normal and that also the fluid leaking out is normal as this is dead cancer cells leaving. And this information he gets from the "voodoo doctor" in Wyoming. The man isnt a doctor, that's just what I call him. He is or is supposedly a herbalist that cured himself of cancer some 30 years ago.
So now the Noodle has quit taking the herbs since he thinks and from past experience the voodoo doctor has told him to stop for a few days to let the bleeding clear up. Well gee ya think?
So, he has told me repeatedly and quite strongly also that the cancer is gone he is in remission. Which I have pointed out to him that without tests and scans and such he cant say that with certainty. He has no proof. Which he tells me he does cause the voodoo doctor told him so.
Which brings me to this. He sends me literature via email about this new stuff that he has found on the Internet and which he has ordered at close to $200, A MIRACLE!!!! Cures cancer in 5-10 days!!!!
I then asked him, well if your cancer is in remission why did you do that? Isn't it just money down the drain? He told me and I quote
'could be. just better safe than sorry. They are coming out with new stuff on a daily basis and these three are all natural and you can't take too much'
So I'm reading all this crap that he has sent me, and I told him, I am not finding where it says it will cure cancer in 5-10 days. He accuses me of being negative and that I need to get my bowels out of an uproar. Excuse me? I then told him that I wasnt being negative, I was trying to find the specific place that said it would do this.
This man is driving me flippin nuts. I think that maybe I just shouldn't talk to him for a while and then I get to thinking well, with the way things are progressing then he wont be here and I'll regret not talking to him. Because he will be gone forever.
He also told me again that its my duty as a good daughter to come out there and take care of him in his time of need. Well where the hell was he in my time of need from the time I was born until I found him when I was 27?? He also went so far as to tell me that I am being unfair to him by strictly staying here and taking care of Mom when he is the one dying of cancer. Well gee like Ive said before, she took care of me from day one. You split. Hmmmmm....DUH!
Oh gee I want to crawl back under the covers and just lay there sometimes till all this just goes away.
So instead, I get on here, and read. And put myself elsewhere. I love reading all of them. It reminds me that I am not the only one that's traveling down this road we call life.
So I say
Enjoy each new day. And live life to the absolute fullest!

I'm so sorry hon, parents can be so stubborn, my mother in law recently died of Leukeamia, and it was awful for all concerned, i guess if you can't convince him to go to a real doctor then you will have to pray for him, but maybe if you think he would take you seriously, perhaps you could tell him that if he goes to a real doctor and starts treatment then you will come and stay with him while he goes through the treatment,
I wish i had something better to say that may be of help to you, good luck, and i will think of you x

I am so sorry about the loss of your mother in law. I nursed mine thru cancer and lost her also about 16 years ago. Its hard.
He is convinced that the holistic or whatever next new thing he finds will cure him.
Funny thing, all the things he didnt want to happen with conventional treatment is happening to him now.
I pray for him daily.
