Well, after having to endure Moms really bad (I still have stitches where she bit my head off on several occasions) moods, I am still alive.
It was Saturday, we were getting ready to go to my aunts party.
Mom decided that she was going to make chocolate dipped strawberries for an additional present. Which translates literally to I am making the strawberries. That's OK, I have done this many times.
But anyways.....
She blew her top at me again. And I snapped and told her she didn't have to be so nasty. She told me that she was going to stop at the store on our way back and get some smokes. I told her no, she had already just gotten thru the 4th day without and was doing good. She then let me in on a little secret. She had a pack hidden that she had been smoking on for those 4 days, and was now out and wanted more.
I asked her why she felt the need to sneak. I mean good grief Gertie she is 61, not 16, and is a full grown adult. If she wants to smoke then do so. I mean really, at this point, it really won't matter if she quits or continues. If her lungs were able to improve then she would benefit from not smoking. Thing is, when she had quit, and wasn't smoking for over 6 months, there was no difference in her at all.
So, in saying all that. She is now in a much better mood. Not resentful towards me for having to sneak. Silly thing that is. And yes, she apologized to me for being so nasty. I apologized to her also. Don't know why, but I did.
Then Kenny called me yesterday morning. He was in Boston, he hates it there, they have something called a rotary? Seems like it is a street that goes in a circle, or something like that. Very difficult to maneuver a semi with a 53' trailer around. Luckily it was early Sunday morning, so no traffic, and he found 2 state troopers who were nice enough to point him in the right direction. In fact they had him follow them to where he needed to go. So, if you read the Boston Globe, and throw out the inserts that are in it, those are what he delivered this weekend!
He's now on his way to Mississippi. He'll be crossing the George Washington bridge in a few hours, and as always when he's in that area, I look at the web-cam shots they have set up to see if I can see him. Which I have once, and I think it's totally cool!
I am so looking forward to next month, when we will be able to spend some time together .
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Hugs!
